Open Day at Greendale Garden Cemetery: Welcoming the Community

We opened our gates for a special Community Open Day on October 26th, inviting local families, friends, and visitors to experience Greendale Garden Cemetery firsthand. This event offered a meaningful opportunity to explore our grounds and learn more about our mission.

The day was filled with warmth, curiosity, and engagement.

Guests were invited to tour the gardens, learn about our eco-friendly burial options, and ask questions about our approach to blending traditional practices with sustainable initiatives.

Walking through our beautiful grounds showcased our commitment to preserving the natural landscape of the Cumberland woodlands while offering respectful, tranquil resting places.

Throughout the event, attendees really appreciated the work that had been done at the site and were very supportive of our vision. Many were inspired by our dedication to minimising environmental impact through practices such as biodegradable coffins, renewable interment rights, and eco-conscious memorialisation. The feedback we received affirmed our belief that our community is ready for a cemetery that balances tradition with forward-thinking care for the earth.

Our open day was more than just an introduction; it was a celebration of the connections we seek to foster within the community – a place where conversations about life, death, and sustainability can happen openly and compassionately. We were honoured to host everyone who joined us and deeply appreciate the interest and enthusiasm for our work at Greendale Garden Cemetery.

We remain dedicated to serving the community and providing a place of peace, compassion, and sustainability. If you missed our open day, don’t worry! Our doors are always open to visitors. For more information about our services or to schedule a consultation, feel free to contact us at 1300 998 234.
